Do you offer video memoirs for couples or more than one person at a time?

Absolutely! If you'd like to feature more than one person we'd be happy to provide a custom package to suit you.

Simply let us know during our Clarity Call and we can arrange a quote tailored to you and your family.

Question 2

I saw Words of Clarity is based in Adelaide. Do you travel outside of the area for videos?

Accepted Answer

We sure do!

If you live outside a 50km radius of Adelaide CBD, we're more than happy to travel to you for filming. Simply let us know during our Clarity Call and we can provide a custom package which factors in basic travel expenses.

We currently don't have a studio, so cannot offer a service where you travel to us here in Adelaide. On the other hand, if you know friends or family here (and they are happy for us to film at their home) we'd be happy to do our filming session(s) there too.

Question 3

How do I know if a video memoir is the right choice for me or my loved one?

We offer a very unique service and understand a video memoir won't be for everyone.

We'll run through a few questions during our obligation-free Clarity Call to make sure we're the right fit for each other.

But please don't let your introversion or camera shyness get in the way of creating a video legacy for you and your family. We speak to all different kinds of people, from all walks of life and with varying personalities.

Everyone has a story to tell. And we'll be right by your side, guiding you through the process every step of the way.

Question 4

What if my loved one decides they don't want to take part? Our family are being encouraging, but they seem uninterested or too nervous...

Accepted Answer

We understand your loved one might be hesitant to take part. Especially if they are shy and quiet by nature.

There might also be instances where they don't want to speak about the past due to grief, loss or trauma. Please know we only ever ask questions about what the person being filmed is comfortable answering. They can also change their mind on the day of filming about what topics they wish to keep off limits. We'll be there to guide you every step of the way.

If you're booking on someone else's behalf, we always ask to speak with the person directly that we'll be filming. We like to ensure they are comfortable with the process and have all the information about what to expect before we proceed with booking a filming date.

We've never had someone pull out of a video - even the ones who were hesitant at first. In fact, we find those who have the most reservations are the ones who sing our praises the most once they finish filming. They quickly realise, "it wasn't that bad after all".

Question 5

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, we certainly do.

Gift vouchers are a wonderful way to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other important milestones for you and your loved ones.

They make such a special and unique gift.

Simply get in touch with us and we'll be happy to provide a gift certificate.

Question 6

Can I request additional features such as subtitles or specific visual elements in the final video?

You certainly can...

We explain more about this during our Clarity Call and in the information pack we send to you following our chat, but we offer extra add-ons to our packages (for an additional fee), including:

- Subtitles
- Hard copy DVD
- Photo montage (already included in our Complete Clarity package)
- Bloopers reel at the end (already included in our Complete Clarity package)

What sets your memoir service apart from other storytelling and legacy options such as written memoirs and photo albums?

Accepted Answer

Written memoirs and photos are a wonderful way to record special moments and they have a special place in preserving the past.

But with the advancements in technology, especially around cameras and video, it's only fitting that we should begin to embrace this way of recording the stories, thoughts and wisdom of our nearest and dearest.

After all, a video captures everything we love and adore about our friends and family that standalone photos and the written word simply can't. It's about ensuring your family legacy isn't just seen in an old photo album or read in a book that might sit on a shelf collecting dust.

Imagine being able to sit down and hear your loved one tell old stories and hear them laugh, long after they're gone.

Or show little ones - who might otherwise have missed the chance to meet a sibling, parent or grandparent - the unique voice and stories of loved ones who have passed on.

Question 8

How can you ensure the final video accurately reflects the personality and values of the person being interviewed?

Accepted Answer

Before we sit down and film, we'll speak directly to the person being featured in the video memoir for what's called a pre-interview.

During this process we'll uncover more about you or your loved one, and get a better picture on their values and personality, as well as what memories and milestones they cherish the most.

From here, we compile a unique set of questions tailored to you or your loved one.

Question 9

Can I request you to include music I love in the video?

Accepted Answer

We would love to be able to offer this in our videos, but due to copyright laws, unfortunately we cannot include commercially licensed music.

We do have a wonderful catalogue of copyright-free music at our fingertips thanks to a platform called Epidemic Sounds. They offer high quality soundtracks in a variety of different music genres.

Past clients have loved the music so much, they've wanted to know the song title and artist.
